Yup i will say it again. Article submission is a waste of time, IF DONE THE WRONG WAY! One of my link building initiatives is article submission and i consider it as one of the most effective for driving traffic, conversions and inbound links.

DO’s for article submission:

1. Make your article helpful and informative. Making your article sale-sounding is indeed effective. This way, you are not only aiming at increasing your backlinks but also helping yourself to get some more traffic and conversions.

2. Keyword Density. What I think is that this technique is already a passé in Google
although somehow, it’s still an effective strategy in Yahoo! Well, just to be sure 3% to 4% of keyword density is enough.

3. Avoid duplicating the contents, therefore it is important that you revise your content regularly. Make your content 70% to 80% unique. HOWEVER, DON’T use an automated SPUN articles. It is true that it will save a little of your time and money, but I’m sure that you do not want to be penalized, do you? Create articles for humans not for bots!

4. Finally, submit your articles to sites with GOOD, JUICY links! Submitting your
articles to a thousand LOW quality sites will not help your rankings, but remember it’s the QUALITY that counts NOT THE QUANTITY.

One Response to “Article Submission is a waste of time!”

  1. Revenhead Says:

What are your top 4 or 5 submission sites? Do you use a service to submit with, like distributeyourarticles.com or any of the others? I have a financial client that produces some great content and he wants to get it out to more places in the area, just trying to find a usable solution for him and then for other clients that may want the same kind of service. Thanks for the post.
